Joseph D. Garner, MD
Otolaryngologist
Dr. Garner joined Blue Ridge Ear, Nose, and Throat in September 2024 as a comprehensive otolaryngologist. He treats a wide range of conditions, including hearing and balance disorders, environmental allergies, sinus disease, head and neck cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and other conditions affecting the ear, nose, and throat. He sees patients at our Boone and Jefferson locations.
Before pursuing his medical training, Dr. Garner worked as a patient transporter at a large hospital, completed EMT-basic training, and later served as a Medical Assistant for Blue Ridge ENT in 2014 and 2015. He credits Dr. Ford as both a mentor and role model throughout his journey to becoming a surgeon and was excited to return to the High Country to practice alongside his longtime “sensei.”
Outside the office, Dr. Garner is an active member of F3, enjoys spending time outdoors, and values time with his wife and children.
